We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our first opinion team

​​​

• Salary range £38-75k DOE plus pension

• 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays

• CPD is strongly encouraged and supported 

• RCVS and VDS fees

• Weekly whole-team meetings to discuss issues relevant to the practice

• A first opinion vets meeting every 2 weeks to discuss journal articles, clinical cases, case presentations etc.

• The practice has 8 consulting rooms, 4 theatres, separate dog and cats wards, ultrasound,

        regular and dental x-ray machines, ultrasound, on-site CT, a variety of endoscopes, multi-
        parameter machines, respiratory ventilators, laparoscopic surgical equipment, and a well-
        equipped lab.​

• We have a varied and interesting caseload with opportunity to learn from colleagues and develop additional skills, and many experienced vets to discuss cases with.

We offer a dynamic and forward thinking approach to our medicine, care, professional team and individual development. We are very well equipped, fully support those who want to study for certificates in areas of interest and have a very broad range of CPD being undertaken across the practice alongside offering and hosting CPD events. We invest in our team’s fundraising and charity efforts, we offer our function room to local charities and groups and invest in our community. We plant for pollinators across the site, have our own RVN managed beehives and our sustainability projects are RVN lead. We value QI and clinical governance and have a very  experienced, capable and supportive RVN team who enable our veterinary surgeons. Our management team comprises all areas of the practice with vets,RVNs and admin members as part of the group.

 

We are proud to continue to offer in house out of hours service and patient care which provides the best opportunity for our patients and clients. This is an ongoing team choice with surgeon and RVN input which we review constantly.
