RVN Positions

We are looking for two RVN’s to join our independent practice where we care about you, the animals in our care and your career progression.

 

Be a part of our RVN team who are supported by a team of animal care assistants and work with all of our clinical teams in first opinion and our referral services in ophthalmology, surgery, dermatology and radioactive iodine treatment.

 

For one of the positions we are specifically seeking an RVN who is passionate about nurse clinics to head our nurse clinic team. This position attracts a bonus as Head of Area, and along with the other nursing heads directly contributes to the running and development of the nursing team. We are looking for someone to share new ideas and initiatives and:

  • Be client facing to drive our practice nursing clinics forward with a dedicated nurse clinic room

 

  • Assist with developing practice protocols for nurse clinics 

 

  • Provide training to and develop a team of clinic nurses with the support of our practice manager and directors

 

  • Continue to build upon our existing euthanasia protocols to ensure our clients are fully supported by the nursing team

 

  • Work with our first opinion vets, head of client care and practice manager to manage home visit and specialist visit bookings

 

  • Have an interest in canine behaviour and a passion for supporting clients with new puppies - a willingness to run puppy and lead puppy classes is desirable

 

Our package:

 

  • Salary range from £27,500 - £33,200

We are very well equipped with full imaging suite with ocular and standard ultrasounds, CT machine, digital X-ray and dental X-ray, full Idexx lab suite, endoscopy, four theatres for first opinion, surgical referral and ophthalmology referral, laparascopic kit, multiparameter monitoring and more to enable you to pursue your areas of passion and interest and continue to grow.

 

We support those in our nursing team who want to study for certificates and have a very broad range of CPD being undertaken across the practice alongside offering and hosting CPD events. We invest in our team’s fundraising and charity efforts, we offer our function room to local charities and groups and invest in our community. We plant for pollinators across the site, have our own RVN managed beehives and our sustainability projects are RVN lead. We value QI and clinical governance and have a very supportive RVN team who enable and mentor each other in this and ongoing professional improvement and initiatives. Our management team comprises all areas of the practice with RVNs as part of the group.

 

We are proud to continue to offer in house out of hours service and patient care which provides the best opportunity for our patients and clients. This is an ongoing team choice with surgeon and RVN input.
